Composite of 40 meteors captured over 5-hr period from about 22:00 12 Aug. to 04:00 13 Aug. PDT. Nikon D800 + Nikkor 20mm f/1.8 @ f/1.8, 30 sec, ISO 1600, on polar-aligned equatorial mount. Field of view centered on Cassiopeia. North is to the left. Background image compiled from 30 frames that did not contain meteor or satellite tracks, calibrated, aligned and combined using standard astronomic image processing procedures. This was my first attempt at meteor photography. Pleased and relieved that it actually worked.
