| Remarks | I have seen a few classic shooting starts streak across the night sky but this was different. It appeared and disappeared within less than two seconds tops without seeming to travel far in that time. It left a short, instantaneous 'trail' (five inches long at arm's length) which disappeared like a dying flame/firework (but less fragmented than a disappearing firework. It also left me with the impression that it had travelled on a meandering/slightly wavy path. It appeared at about 50 degrees angle behind my partner who was facing me so she had her back to it. This was very frustrating because it was such an incredible - though short lived - sight. It was a crisp, clear winter's evening and the sky was a dark blue - it wasn't dark at this point. |

| Remarks | white flame. Like a firework disappearing. Also similar to piece of newspaper burning out quickly in the wind -but 'flames' were white with light blue tinge. |
| Terminal flash | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | lasted a split second. Bright / iridescent white light the size of a pea at arms length! With a zigzag white flame tail that quickly seemed to die out like a dying flame just after the flash disappeared and all within a second . Whole sighting lasted just over a second and a half. It appeared directly in my line of sight coincidentally. I didn't see it streak across the sky as it seemed to be coming to the end of it's life as id appeared. |
| Fragmentation | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | Similar to the effect one gets when kicking a piece of paper as it burns. Except that the flames and sparks were white/light blue. Not a lot of fragmentation (not more than three pieces perhaps) and it was instantaneous. |
