| Remarks | The fireball was seen from indoors, so wasn't seen until it dropped below the eave of the house. For this reason the actual duration may have been longer than I have reported. The initial ball stretched into a tear drop shape, then split into two separate teardrop balls as if 45% of the initial ball split off and slowed at a higher rate than the initial ball. There was a slight tail joining the two for a fraction of a second before it terminated just above the trees that are approximately 400m away. No sound was noticed from inside the house. |
