We were setting up the equipment in the observatory when I looked up and saw the meteor. Have posted the observation in Stargazers Lounge. It did not fade but gave me the impression that it skipped out of the atmosphere. We waited about 5 mins to listen for a sonic boom but none was heard. Smoke train was very persistent and was still visible after 35 mins

The smoke train was not visible at first due to the light sky at dusk but became visible as the sun went down. The smoke train started where the meteor was first seen and stopped where it disappeared
