Considering it was not that dark at 7PM, it was very difficult to compare it to other objects since none were really visible just yet (besides the moon). I have never seen something so bright during when there was still day light.

It was not quite dark yet and the streak of light went nearly across the whole sky. The trail was persistently visible for a few seconds after the meteor went. The end of it was blocked by a tree but I could see parts of it through the tree.
