| Remarks | I watched this from the Dollar General Parking lot going NW to SE over the Mississippi River, heading in the direction of the Quad City Airport. I thought it might be a plane on fire. First thought someone had finally got some good fireworks. But it was going along the horizon not up or down. Waited for it to explode, but it didn't. I shared the sighting with another DG customer. My camera was locked in my van! I will never forget this sight! I asked about it on Mississippi River Photos on Facebook. Here is my post. https://www.facebook.com/groups/707233279324256/search/?query=haystack I had the time wrong. I had just returned from the river, taking pictures! |
