Reports Report 2307iq (Event 2307-2018)

Observer
Name June A
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks This occurrence happened from north to south as we drove on an east to west road near Momence, IL. There was nothing around but corn fields. We could not imagine what this was. It appeared closer to us than it may have been. But we thought it was someone shooting off a bottle rocket. But couldn't figure out how someone could get it so high in the air and seamingly straight across the road. There was nothing else around us but corn fields and a beautiful dusk horizon. I mentioned my sighting to someone at work and they told me there was a fireball sighting at the exact time I said it happened. So I looked at it online and saw others reporting the same thing around the same time. Three of us saw it in our car. My husband who was driving and a teenage son in the back seat.
