Remarks | I was a passenger in a vehicle driving eastbound on the M1 at junction 47. I saw the green fireball with orange tail to my left moving very fast horizontally across the sky in a westbound direction. We were joining the exit slip road to leave the motorway at this time. We were driving in the opposite direction of travel to the fireball. It appeared to be very low in the sky, and as we exited the motorway to turn left, it looked as though we moved behind the fireball, so it was moving away from me. At this moment it appeared to fragment and disappear. I couldn't see the tail at this time. |
