Remarks I first thought that it was a helicopter. Then the light went from white to a yellow/orange color. Then it split into two. it seemed to travel from east to west just south of my position. I lost sight of it because of the hill south of the 60 freeway by Whittier.

Remarks The fire ball split into 2. They both had a tail. Then the lowest fireball disappeared after about 5 seconds. The top one had a tail for about 8 seconds. the tail disappeared but the light was visible. As it flew from west to east; it started growing a tail again. Then I lost sight of it because of a hill.
