I doubt it was very close to me. From the angle and how close it looked to the ground from where I was watching makes me feel like i just happened to have a good view of it as entering the atmosphere. The sky is nice and clear tonight.

It was a quick streak down into a bright green flash almost like a giant flare but it only lasted a few seconds. It seemed to burn out rather quickly.
