About Carl Hergenrother

I am both an amateur and professional astronomer. My professional work at the University of Arizona involves the characterization of small fast rotating asteroids and the activity levels of comets. I am also a co-Investigator on NASA's OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample return mission. As an amateur my main focus is on visual and video observations of meteors, as well as visual and CCD photometry of comets. I am the Secretary for the AMS, a handling editor for the International Meteor Organization's WGN journal and an Associate Editor for the International Comet Quarterly.
