Reports Report 3737dk (Event 3737-2016)

Observer
Name Brent T
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Saw this while flying into State College. Pretty cloudy in valleys, but van driver noticed it on way into airport. Stayed fairly consistent with brightness except for initial bright flash. I saw it for only a couple of seconds and it seemed whole with orange-red sparks trailing behind. Appeared to be a fairly vertical strike into atmosphere.
