Reports Report 3524al (Event 3524-2016)

Observer
Name John N
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks The color was medium to dark green, so it wasn't that bright, but the disc of the fireball was the largest I've seen. I estimate the diameter of the fireball at 0.3 to 0.5 degrees - about the same as a mechanical pencil eraser held at arm's length. I don't think it was an Iridium flare - I've seen many of those, and other satellites also. Iridium satellites don't leave glowing trails and this moved faster, in an angular sense, than any satellite I've seen.
