Reports Report 52ae (Event 52-2011)

Observer
Name Rikki S
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks It had a long streaking straight tail.......(maybe a tiny bit of a arch that followed it)......like a very long comet tail. The tail was whitish/blue in color, it was very bright, and it was longer than any of the images i've seen of the "bolide" tails on the internet. There was a distinct different in the ball and the tail........I could see the defining edge of the ball separated from the tail. The "ball" of fire immediately changed colors from fiery orange to yellow and then to as bright green as a traffic signal light for the majority of the distance it traveled.........it reminded me of a Roman candle firework that shot from the sky to the ground, but this seemed to "glide" downward into the horizon in front of me instead of being propelled with force. The size of the "ball" was about as big as man's thumbnail on an outreached arm with a tail the length of an ink pen attached to it. That's the best way I know how to describe it. :-)
