Reports Report 3216jg (Event 3216-2016)

Observer
Name Marc S
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks This was not a bolide as it didn't end with a flash like I've seen before. It didn't leave a persistent trail. It changed color from greenish to white with some red towards the end. This was the brightest and longest duration meteor I have ever seen. It was over the Pacific ocean, as I was on a beachfront property. The night was very clear 4/5 for viewing. I could see stars down to magnitude 5 easily. The path appeared to start in Coma Bernices and end in Ursa Major.
