| Remarks | When I first saw the fireball it was not perfectly round with a tail trailing behind it but seemed to have at least 2 pointy projections (kind of resembling pointy fins -- and, no, I do not think it was a UFO) coming out the back. it seemed to change shape as it moved. The trail was about 3 inches long at arms length (about 7.5 degrees). I first saw it out of the corner of my eye slightly south of west of Corvallis, OR until it disappeared behind the trees slightly west of North. To the best of my memory it was yellow and red in color with flashes of Blue and Green. It was very bright and incredibly beautiful. Kind of hard to judge exactly how bright. Seemed like about as bright as a full moon but I don't think it cast shadows like a full moon. |
