Remarks By some observing experience, I mean I am no expert but love star gazing and have seen quite a few shooting stars in my lifetime. I have been to one observatory and saw the lunar eclipse last year on 9-27-2015 in Colorado. This was different and quite amazing! I had another person in the car with me- my son's girlfriend, who also observed the fireball. I wanted to know what it was and googled "what was the giant fireball I saw in the sky...." And found your website.

Remarks Driving out of George Fox University in Newberg OR last Friday night, I saw what looked like a giant shooting star only it was huge. It looked like a giant fireball with a long trailing tail moving horizontally and pretty low across the horizon and slowly downward. i lost sight of it due to the trees blocking my vision. The train was also bright fiery yellow and fairly long, sort of fizzling out at its end as the fireball moved. Coolest thing I've ever seen in the sky!!
