This fireball was much brighter than even the largest meteor I've ever seen before. I was walking generally north when I noticed a bright light coming from behind me. I quickly turned around and saw the meteor still in the sky breaking up. It was bright enough to illuminate the ground very well. It was already fragmented into two sections by the time I saw it, and both fragments fizzled shortly after without an obvious explosion. I waited for a few minutes afterward and never heard any sounds.
