| Remarks | I was driving South bound on I 155 near Lincoln Illinois near lincoln Illinos between mile markers 8 and 9. I may not have the exact time, it was around 2030 loca..lt was not completely dark, still some twilight. What struck me as unusual was that I've never seen a meteor that bright while there was still so much ambient light. Also it appeared to be mostly lime green in color, but varied between a yellow ish green and cyan color. Also it appeared to break up as it went across my field of vision. I'm an airline pilot and have been flying for about 6 years and this is one of the brightest ones I've ever seen. I feel like I have seen more meteors than the average person, and I consider myself a science geek and try to work night flights during the various meteor showers throughout the year to try to spot meteors. |

| Remarks | I don't recall a flash... but it appeared to break up as it went across the sky. Several chunks came off and it had a tail that lasted for maybe a half second longer than the main body of the meteor. |
