Must have been a huge meterite as it was about half the size of a street light as seen from across the street. Huge blue ball at least 4x size of venus with a clear red triangular train. My thumbnail estimate based on a little math is that it was 9 miles away, lasting a full 4 seconds. I just happened to be looking at the exact sky where it appeared.
