I have very good clear dark skies over my property and have seen many good shooting stars over many years. I have never seen such a bright "star" and never seen one which ended so definately or had a trail that remained visible after the "star" had disappeared. It was very impressive.

Like a planes white vapour trail. About 40 degrees long, then a gap of about 10 degrees before another fainter/less defined train of about 20 degrees. The train remainder visible for several seconds after the head had gone.
