Reports Report 2402g (Event 2402-2016)

Observer
Name Rick N
Experience Level 5/5
Remarks Twice as bright as Venus. Sky was overcast but still amazingly bright through the cloud cover with the main nucleus a very bright combination of greenish, orange, blueish white...with a very bright train of a blueish white color. My vision of the entire sky was obstructed because I was sitting on my enclosed porch. From what I could see of the train trailing behind it, I would estimate its length to take up a good 20-30 degrees of sky if not more. It disappeared from my line of sight behind the distant treeline off to the horizon from my line of sight. A slight train may have persisted for a second or two but again difficult to say for sure because I was within my enclosed porch. I listened for detonations but was unable to hear any. Again it was possible there were but I cannot say for certain. First spotted through enclosed porch window to the east...moving from east to north-northeast.
