I was in my kitchen having dinner. lights on - no possibility of hearing sounds. I caught it out of an east-facing window.
bright white. visible for 2-3 seconds. May have been visible earlier before it appeared in my (very limited) field of view.
direction of travel was indistinguishable from straight down.
bright white. magnitude estimate difficult due to lots of ambient light. -8 sound about reasonable.
