Remarks | I always make it a point to watch certain meteor showers each year and have seen many meteorites, but this was the biggest, brightest, and absolute closest-to-earth one I have ever seen. It came out of the blue from behind me as I stood outside talking to someone, so unfortunately I didn't see it coming...just when it was passing overhead. It was extremely low compared to all the other ones I have seen and seemed so close to the tops of the houses. The roof of the house it flew over then blocked my line of vision so I could not see what happened to it. It was so incredible, I took the time to look it up to see if it had been reported. |
