| Remarks | This has to be one of the most amazing things I have ever seen in nature. I have seen many shooting stars over the years, but this fireball was an entirely different thing. It was very, very close to my house, and very low in the sky, appearing as if it would fall into the street just below my condo, which sits on a hill in Edmonds. It was huge; the size of a beach ball. All shooting stars I have ever seen have been over the water, but this one was clearly over land. I wondered for a moment if it would come down and hit a house. I just could not fathom that this star was this close to me. It was surreal watching it burn up, as it flamed away in only a moment, and I could see sheets of ash floating down from it. I felt it was a once-in-a-lifetime thing to be that close to an actual disintegrating star. |

| Remarks | The object blazed suddenly and I could actually see flames emitting from it. It didn't look like it was exactly exploding wide open, it just looked like it was blazing up and incinerated itself. Then I saw whispers of black stuff floating down, like a sheet of paper that has caught fire, turned black and floats in the air, like sheets of ash. |
