To me the fireball appeared out of nowhere. Seemed to move slowly above the horizon and downward slightly. There were trees close by so once it dropped below the tops of the trees, I couldn't see it any more. I was so stunned to see what I was seeing. Doesn't sound like anyone else had seen it close to where I live. Nothing was reported locally that I know of.
