Remarks When I got home from the walk, I googled it, but no reports had been posted. Perhaps the school has cameras that caught the amazing sight.

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks It had sailed left over the alley, above the neighboring houses and backyard trees, so I saw it flare out only as I was running into the school field to better watch from an angle... it flashed and fizzled out/disspated very quickly. The tail, which was quite thick and long, lingered for a nanosecond longer. It looked like a perfect storybook/comic book/animation/movie comet, and it flew straight out in front of me at a surprisingly low, almost horizontal trajectory. I screamed to my husband and daughter to look: he saw it, but she was too far ahead and missed it. It was startling and spectacular.
Fragmentation
