| Remarks | I had just turned due south while driving and it is a long, relatively flat terrain ahead of me, on a beautiful clear night when the fireball appeared to the left side of my windshield and finished almost directly in front of me. It lasted long enough for me to observe, react and say "Whoa!" three times. The direction seemed the most strange. When we watch for meteors (Perseids) we don't expect them to come from the East the way this did for me. |

| Remarks | About halfway through the descent it disappeared and then suddenly reappeared and it looked as though there were fragments (as though the ball was expanding). |
