Reports Report 1215k (Event 1215-2016)

Observer
Name Courtney B
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks We thought it was a roman candle at first, but it definitely wasn't fireworks. I was checking out Tallgrass Prairie with someone else for a star party a few days after that, so there was very little light pollution and we had a very clear view of the skies. I'm reporting it late because I didn't know you can report something like this until just before I started it!

Remarks Sort of a mix between a pop and a crackle, more pop like, but low enough I don't think old ears would have heard it well, but I did just fine. Several seconds after it was no longer visible, we heard another, sort of like thunder, but didn't see anything or that one, so we think it may have been sound from this one.
