Remarks | This was like nothing I've seen before; this was spotted while sitting around a campfire with friends, casually stargazing. There was an unusual size to the object, it appeared quickly but moved more slowly than I would have expected; it was easy enough to track, and we got a really good look at it. There was also a good breadth to the object, and the light quality it exibited changed over the course of its visible trajectory (was NOT a constant color & brightness). Appeared as orange, changed to a very bright white, with a hint of blue at one point, and then back to orange/red. There seemed to be particles coming off the sides/edges, they were very small and few, and remained close to the trail. It disappeared over treetops about east-north-east. Very exciting! |
