Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I had just come out of the house from the backyard and no lights were on, I saw the fireball as it soared over my head from behind me so I was facing away from the direction it came from and as soon as it came into my view I watched it as it soared beyond my view over and behind the house across the street from my house, it looked so large and bright I thought for sure it was going to hit the ground, but I could not hear any explosions or sound of anything hitting the ground, at first site it looked to be about 1000 feet above me and descending to 3 or 400 feet as it disappeared from my view. Total time of viewing was about three seconds. I would say it came from the west and traveled towards a northeasterly direction from my point of view, the house across the street from me is only one story. The fireball was bright white when I first observed it but turned a very bright green color with a white outline just before I lost site of it.
