Remarks | I have seen dozens of fireballs in my lifetime and this is the brightest one I have ever seen, almost enough to be frightening. My directions are approximate, but the fireball paralleled a line drawn from Sirius to Murzim. I was looking at Rigel and Betelgeuse, wondering what it would be like when they supernovae when the fireball brightened my yard. It started to the upper left of Sirius and traveled parallel to a line drawn from Sirius to Murzim about 5 degrees separated and ended to the bellow left of Murzim, almost to the horizon. The glow also pulsated slightly, started bright, going to extremely bright, back to bright and then a final extremely bright pulse. Not sure if that was the meteor or if it traveled through thin clouds. |
