Reports Report 266al (Event 266-2016)

Observer
Name Steven D
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I was driving north bound on the turnpike when I happened to look over the empty field and the fireball appeared almost instantly...The view only lasted about a whole second...my first thought was it was some sort of firework however it was much too large...I then thought that it might had been a plane or helicopter crashing however it was traveling much too quickly...My wife who was with me missed it and we began looking for a fire or smoke from the fall but saw nothing...Being such a clear and cloudless day the sight of a meteor never crossed my mind...We then googled the news for any type of reports when she came across a fireball video and I realized that was exactly what I had seen...I shall never forget the image of it as well!
