I was driving on 71 headed towards Lagrange when I saw this bring light shout downwards to the right of me. It seemed like it came from no where. It was towards the right of me. I couldn't give an exact location or distance from the highway but it seemed close. After it hit the tree line I could no longer see it. It was very bright. I thought I was seeing a shooting star as I've seen before but shooting stars don't shoot straight down, nor do they look like a fire ball. I looked at my phone later to see what time my mother in law called. It wasn't at the exact time she called but it was a few minutes into our conversation that made it near 615. I was somewhere around the crestwood exit . I hope this was helpful. I know what I saw . I've never seen anything like it before. I couldn't find anything on the news or Internet.
