Reports Report 3593a (Event 3593-2015)

Observer
Name Leslie B
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I saw streak of white light in an approx E by ENE direction, travelling across my field of vision from approx S to N, and descending at perhaps 15° or 20° to horizontal. It is hard to judge the interval, but perhaps slightly less than half a second. The object was brighter and seemed wider than most other meteors I have seen. It's path seemed quite short. It passed close to the visual horizon, below two bright stars that were one above the other. The direction I drew on the map is very tentative, an may be quite wrong, but I did have a compass with me, and the direction was close to East by East North East. It was some time after the observation that I checked my watch, when the time was 8:33pm, I estimate that the sighting was at 8:31, but I could be out by a couple of minutes.
