I was in the car driving and listening to the radio so I can not be certain if this meteor was accompanied by any initial or residual sounds. Also, so see something like this in LA, it had to be big.

The flash was very bright and lasted less than a second. It looked like a camera flash but huge. It lit up the a large space behind the low clouds.
