Remarks | At first we thought it was a fragment from a firework, but the trail and tail lasted long enough for us to quickly realize that it was a meteor. Very, very bright, not very high on the horizon and traveling almost curved with the earth. Very beautiful and noticeably different from meteors we have observed in the past. We are in the Raleigh-Durham area. |
