Reports Report 1840c (Event 1840-2015)

Observer
Name Matt S
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks due to its parallel flight in relation to the horizon I thought it was a plane but started doubting that when I noticed the very faint/short trail it was leaving behind it; when it broke up into several pieces and started to dim right before it went behind a building I concluded it may be something breaking up in the earth's atmosphere; I can't rule out a man-made object such as a satellite entering the atmosphere or a military missile going haywire

Remarks initially a single object trailing a short trail that did not linger long at all (or was not visible due to low angle above horizon and light pollution); it then broke into 4-5 pieces and disappeared from view for me due to a building
