Remarks My husband and I observed this event in our truck while waiting at a red light. We may not have been able to hear noises it may have produced. Also, I feel fairly confident in my estimation of the horizon however sitting high up in a truck may have slightly skewed my estimate. The entire event was viewable in the windshield. It started at the top of the windshield and ended at approx. 35 degree horizon in the windshield. The object was VERY large in my opinion. Also the shape and colors were very distinct. It was a large black ball in the center with green and yellow flames all around it. The surprising part was that the flames weren't all that bright. There was a 'flash' before it disappeared. All told it probably lasted 4 seconds. It was AWESOME to witness. I've never seen anything like it. I love sky watching. Been doing it most of my life. But I have no formal experience or education in the matter. Thank you.
