From where I was standing at the date & time listed, the fireball passed through Canis Major. I lost sight of it when it went behind the trees in my neighbor's yard.

Original body "popped" & continued on its original path. Smaller, much fainter object was seen following original body but was moving slightly slower. Second body faded away within one second. Second body resembled a spark (after the pop).
