Reports Report 580ak (Event 580-2015)

Observer
Name Dan G
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks At first I thought it was a helicopter, but after looking more closely at the size, brightness, and angle it was clear that it was a meteorite. I was in my south-facing 20 story apartment north of downtown Chicago and could still see it VERY clearly with the city lights and bright moon. While it burned out relatively quitckly, it was still an incredible sight; I have never seen anything like it.
