Reports Report 449iz (Event 449-2015)

Observer

Remarks Highly likely that there are some large recoverable fragments in the area that I described, as my observations left me w/the impression that some of this meteor survived impact w/the ground and could be a recoverable meteorite.

Remarks As fireball flamed out, there was enough residual ligh treflection from the clouds to see one large meteor fragment followed fore and aft of this basketball sized fragment by several smaller sized fragments ranging in size from civil war cannonball sized to several others which were like tennis and golfball sized rocks suspended in mid air. This occurred to my left or east as I was southbound/sb on I75 just two miles north (mm432) of the I 10 E/W interchange nearest White Springs, FL. The meteor and it's associated fragments resembled a mini asteroid belt suspended approx. 60.feet in the air, but moving towards the ground in a NE/NNE direction.
