first there was a plain thin streak of light; then there was a flash of circular light with concentric circles of color, but I really can't remember the colors. The circular flash was at least 100 - 1000 times the diameter of the streak. Then the flash was gone; there was a cloud just below the flash so I don't know if the flash was just gone or whether it went behind the cloud. I saw no further light under or beyond the cloud; there were also mountains in the distance.
