Remarks | I was driving northbound on I-95 at 6:35 PM. No sound could be heard because the windows were closed and any exterior sounds were drowned out by cabin noise (tires, radio, etc) but I saw the meteor streak across the sky right before my eyes. It was the largest meteor I had ever seen. It was not spherical. but had an irregular shape. I could clearly see that it was burning up. It streaked from upper-right to lower-left and then disappeared. The whole thing took about 2 seconds. |
