Remarks I am an amateur astronomer & photographer 20+ yrs. On this evening I was not observing, but working in my backyard workshop. I happened to be walking through the open door to step outside when I saw it. It was most likely out over the Gulf of Mexico based on location in the sky. This was very bright since I now live in the city/subdivision.
