Remarks | Interestingly, I was approaching a stream in which a small flock of swams was resting. Before they could see me, something else startled them and they suddenly rose up en mass and flew low over my head towards the lake nearby. It startled me and and upset my dogs, but it was in turning around to look at the stream (to see what had disturbed the swans) that had me looking in the right direction to see the fireball appear. It was brilliant yellow white, and seemed to give off sparks like fireworks as it streaked from south to north. Amazing to see it so low in the sky, and with a fair amount of sunset light still visible! |
