Reports Report 2165ko (Event 2165-2014)

Observer
Name Sheila E
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks It appeared low overhead on my left. I thought it was a flare or a firework at first because it was just above the trees and moving slower than meteors that I have seen. Then I looked closely into the light and it appeared to be a sphere with glowing turquoise color. It lit up the area and the sky and the light was like a low sunset when it went behind the trees in front of me. I drove around the bend to top of hill before Chinese Gardens and didn't see anything in the distant sky but I was also expecting it to be crashed in the area as it went down behind the trees at an angle as it passed in front of me. It appeared to be low in the sky because it went downward behind the trees and I would have thought I could continue to see it if it was higher in the sky. There was absolutely nothing except darkness at the top of the hill looking out over the terrain and water. I could not figure out what I had seen that made any sense. I saw it for about 4 seconds.
