| Remarks | I have seen more 'shooting stars' in my lifetime than I can count, as well as have witnessed the beautiful Aurora Borealis on many occasions. However, I have NEVER witnessed anything like this before! I originally thought it was a plane going down, and immediately opened the window to get a clearer view and listen for the crash...but didn't hear anything. I went straight down, and had no 'tail'. The colors were mostly bright red that appeared to be flashing, thus my assumption it was a plane on queue for landing at Newark. There also were other planes on approach, but their 'lights' were dimmer and much smaller compared to this. It also appeared to get larger as it moved closer to the horizon. Very cool experience! |
