| Remarks | I was driving in my car so if sound, we didnt hear it above the radio. It just appeared suddenly as a bright green fireball (my friend thought it also had yellow in it but I only saw greens and white). Other friends in separate cars saw it too. It appeared to fizzle out before it hit the ground and we looked as we drove for lights that would suggest it hit the ground and caught something on fire but we couldnt see any. Thought it was weird it just appeared partway down the sky and not from the very top of the sky. We were driving west on I-140 and it appeared just off to the right after the Castle Hayne exit. We thought it might have been a plane going down because the airport is a few miles to the left of the same location. |
