Reports Report 1912b (Event 1912-2014)

Observer
Name Matt B
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks I saw the object first out of the corner of my eye and by the time I turned my head it had just passed its peak brightness and was dimming and that's when I briefly saw the fragmentation and the second object trailing slowly behind the larger, main one. The main object was moving fast and just north of north-west and clearly descending. I regularly view ISS passes and this object was moving much faster, was much brighter and larger and only appeared for a second or slightly more. I think it was a meteor and if so, it was my first viewing of one outside of a meteor shower.
